My Experience
Education and Work Experience:
I have worked in a variety of settings:
a hospital librarian at Metropolitan State Hospital in Waltham, MA;
a library consultant at the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners;
a Special Education Teacher's Aide in a Medfield, MA elementary school;
an assistant minister at the Unitarian Universalist church in Weston, MA; an associate minister at the Universalist Church in West Hartford, CT; and the settled minister at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Middleborough from 2012 to 2022.
I have also been trained in board orientation and development as part of my volunteer activities with community agencies and denominational leadership.
I have degrees from Northwestern University (BA), Simmons College (MS in Library Science), and Boston University (MDIV School of Theology).
Community Service Experience:
Middleborough Affordable Housing Committee.
Board of Governors, Old Colony Y Middleborough Branch
Middleborough Area Assistance Coalition (MAAC) - a community of practice supporting almost forty agencies, nonprofits and congregations serving folks in need from four communities. The UU Middleborough congregation generously supports a church fund to help people needing assistance from these agencies.
Connecticut Council for Interreligious Understanding - representatives of nine different faiths who sponsor joint educational and interfaith events in and around Hartford.
Board of Trustees, Medfield Public Library - elected to two terms.
Board of Directors, Boston Community Services - a community mental health center.
